Mara New

Mara Beltrami-New, hailing from the Beltrami House of Fashion, launched in the early 1900s, found her passion in the arts. Mara has performed in Australia, Canada and Los Angeles. She created and founded “The Golden Needle Awards”.  She appeared in “Night Club” with Ernest Borgnine, Paul Sorvino and Mickey Rooney. Mara produced “Three Days of Hamlet” with Richard Chamberlain, winning Best Feature Documentary for Best Film at the IFFF and several CD’s for Jazz/Blues singer Barbara Morrison plus her acclaimed one woman show “I Wanna be Loved” for which she was nominated best producer by the NAACP.  She is honored in the California Jazz and Blues Hall of Fame.
